US-Bangla Airlines spreads its wings in the Chinese sky since last Thursday. The airline has been operating flights on all domestic routes for the last four years and also continued flying to seven destinations worldwide recently. Yet another feather has been added to the success of US-Bangla airlines as it managed to start flight operations to and from Bangladesh to China as the first airline in Bangladesh. The airline started its journey to Guangzhou, China last night.
In a press release, US-Bangla Airlines informed that almost all Bangladeshi airlines tried for permission to fly to China since independence in 1971. Despite all those efforts, for the first time, the Civil Aviation Authority of China issued permission only to US-Bangla airlines. Primarily the airline will start flight operations 3 times a week in both ways.
US-Bangla airlines plan to operate flights with its 164-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft which has 156 seats for economy class and 8 seats for business class passengers. At present, the airline has 4 Boeing 737-800 and three Dash 8-400 aircraft in its fleet. The airline also informed that it will include three Boeing and three Dash 8-400 aircraft by this year.
Fare for a one-way journey to and from Guangzhou will start from 30,408 taka and two-way fares will start from 39,442 taka.
