United Airways (BD) Limited, the country’s renowned private airline, reopened Dhaka Barisal flight from today to carry passengers from Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport, Dhaka. It took long four years time to restart airline service in this route. Previously, United Airlines operated its last Dhaka Barisal flight in May, 2009 and stopped their flight on the grounds of incurring loss in that route.
Colonel (Retd.) Faruk Khan, the Minister for Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, inaugurated the relaunching program of the United Airways flight from Dhaka to Barisal and vice versa. According to the sources, United Airlines will operate its Dhaka-Barisal flight twice a week-on Sunday and Thursday with a 66 seater aircraft with the following flight schedule.

The one way special fare for Dhaka-Barisal is starting from Tk. 3000 and return fare is Tk. 6000 (inclusive of all taxes), sources said.
