Biman Bangladesh Airline is going to resume it’s domestic fights in all the seven routes within the country from April 2015. According to reliable sources, Biman is going to fix the lowest airfare for the domestic routes.
Earlier Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national flag carrier of Bangladesh, declared two F-28 aircraft abandoned due to expired lifetime of the aircrafts in 2012 which resulted in the shut down of domestic flight operations. After about two and half year, Biman is expecting to start regular domestic flight operations from 6 April, 2015 with five domestic routes.
As for the preparations, Biman started the sale of tickets from today (25 February, 2015) according to a source from Biman sales office.
For all these domestic flights in Bangladesh, Biman is charging much lower for it’s tickets, compared to all other private owned domestic airlines. Initially, ticket price of biman for domestic routes will be as follows:

To speed up the process, Biman already leased two Dash 8 Q-400 aircraft from Egypt air which are made in 2011. These two 74 seaters will be used for smoorh running of the airline for its domestic sector. As per the plans, Biman will operate 6 flight per week in the Dhaka-Chittagong route, 5 flights per week in Dhaka-Jessore route, 3 for Dhaka-Rajshahi route and in Dhaka-Barisal & Dhaka-Syedpur route 2 flights every week. In addition to that, Biman hopes to operate 25 flight per week in Dhaka to Chittagong & Sylhet routes.
